In particular, the ability to retain high-potential people is a critical foundation of a successful enterprise.  Lee Hecht Harrison’s Talent Builder™ is designed for managers who currently have staff reporting to them to learn and develop the tools, skills and confidence to identify, nurture and retain talent within the organisation. 

Half- and full-day seminars equip managers with the skills to understand the business case and the crucial role they have in retaining and developing talent, define the needs and develop an action plan for retaining team members, and complete a development discussion template.

Content covers:

  • Why employees leave and why they stay
  • Costs of losing talent
  • Introduction to five management practices for keeping talented employees
  • Tools that enable managers to consider the specific retention needs of one or two key employees and to make initial preparations for discussions of those needs

The full-day version incorporates additional instruments to help managers assess the retention risk for each of their employees, identify management practices and behaviours that foster development and retention of key talent. Managers prepare and practice a career discussion for a staff member.
