360° Benchmarking

Development of management and leadership capabilities is an ongoing process. Lee Hecht Harrison's 360° benchmarking is designed to assist organisations to:

  • understand individual and team leadership styles and behaviours and recognise the impact these have on corporate relationships and productivity
  • identify core leadership behaviours necessary for success
  • develop individual employees' leadership skills
  • initiate and manage change
  • communicate more effectively with a diverse workforce, ensuring successful recruitment, engagement and retention of employees.

360° Assessment is a multi-rater feedback system which provides a manager with feedback from superiors, peers and subordinates. A self-rating is included and results are evaluated. 360° feedback allows the manager to compare their self evaluation with feedback from their colleagues and identify areas for improvement such as:

  • poor interpersonal skills
  • difficulty with team building
  • lack of follow-through
  • over-dependence on others
  • differences with management.

The feedback gained from the questionnaire is compiled in a detailed report and a development guide provides the manager with a strategy to improve skills and performance. One-on-one feedback and coaching from an LHH consultant ensures that employees develop a fuller understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, feel supported by their employer, and motivated to develop their competencies to meet organisational needs.
